Bebot - Robot Synth App Reviews

Besides being a great app for music noodling, this is one of the best apps for babies I have found. My 8 month old loves to play with Bebot and the controls are so basic, she doesnt accidentally exit the music making screen. All around awesome app for any age!

App developers, please add an option to record and save my bebot-utiful creations so I can open and use in other apps like fruity loops or GarageBand. Everyone else: buy it before they raise the price!!

Do not underestimate this app with its innocuous cute little robot face, it is a formidable synthesizer and makes for an incredibly expressive, lush performing instrument. Despite owning countless super complex, new age synthesizers on iOS, I constantly find myself returning to bebot for a real solo. This is one of those few rare apps that you can play the bassline, organ riff, grungy guitar solo, cheesy saw flourish and bells on, simultaneously and on the *same* patch. Lovely. Controls are fluid, the snap and the glide as well as the subtle LPF on the y-axis controller are perfectly calibrated for maximum eargasm, nice selection of oscillators ranging from sweet sines to thick drippy PWM, the effects are ultra-satisfying and boy oh boy that suboscillator hits the spot. Bebot, Im a slave4u.

I love this app!!! It it so much fun to try different settings! You will NEVER get tired of Bebot!! He is super funny! (and you can really annoy people with it!) :)

No silly nob turning (hey developers, our devices have glass surfaces), no going through buried menus and nothing on the app to look at except 1 happy robot! This is Genius.

I would have gladly paid $100 for an instrument like this. The abillity to be able to customize the sounds, the scale and how it reacts to the touch input is truly amazing. More amazing is how simple it is to edit the sound. I use this app in my live looping project because the ease of use is only bested by the stellar sound quality when played thru an amp or mixing console. I record with BeBot directly into my Mbox into ProTools and sounds exceptional. $2??? A no brainer. Bravo to the creators of this App!!!

He rocks the BEST digital theramin, superb pitch control & the interface is amaz-b---z! This app has replaced about $1600 worth of music equipment! Stop reading this & download it. Youll thank me 3 hours from now when you realize you could have spent 3.1 hours hammering away on be•bot!

Ive had an iPhone for many years and this was one of the first apps installed. Ive had to delete many apps to make more space, but this one always has a home on my phone. And now that I have twin sons, Bebot is their first introduction to the app world and synth music! We love you Bebot!!!

Im pretty sure that Bebot is the voice of BB-8 in the new Star Wars! Love this app!

I’ve had this for a couple years now and it drives my wife nuts because I play with it all the time and try to make it talk like WALL-E from the movie. I wouldn’t say you can make music with it but define music. If you can imagine playing a theremin is fun then you will love Bebot!

Okay, first let me just say that I love this app...easy to use, makes interesting sounds...for a musician/experimenter like myself its what I look for in sound apps. I try to stay on top of new music apps, I like to try them all...and Bebot has always been in my arsenal. Now flash forward to The Force Awakens...BB-8 "the scene stealer"...lol. I had read that when they were making BB-8s "dialogue" that J.J. Abrams used an iphone app....well, THIS is the app you are looking for....straight Bebot sound right out of the box(in the film it is obviously processed more but this app is the main component and is certainly the one that was referred to.). Kinda surprised the developers havent touted this fact yet. You will have a lot of fun making BB-8 phrases.
